We play a catalytic role by partnering with private sector companies and other stakeholders to foster the development of socially responsible, ecologically sound and profitable supply chains. Our activities in West Africa are focused on cocoa, gold, oil palm, cotton, coffee and other commodities.
As one of the Regional Expertise Centres (REC) within Solidaridad’s international network, we are part of a growing global organization advocating and supporting sustainable and responsible production and trade. SWA focuses on stimulating sustainable supply chains through the introduction of innovations in good practices, robust infrastructure, sustainable landscapes management and enabling policy.
The Solidaridad regional office is based in Accra, Ghana and currently has programmes and operations in Sierra Leone, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria.

The Solidaridad Country Programme in Ghana seeks to recruit a highly qualified and motivated Programme Officer for its SAT4Business project funded by the Netherlands Space Office (NSO). The position is based in Accra.
Job Purpose
This position is to provide programme coordination, management and administrative support to the Sat4Business programme. Working closely with the Programme Coordinator, the candidate will undertake daily operational routine activities such as planning, reporting, organizing logistics and meetings, organizing and facilitating farmer registration and profiling, conducting periodic training and engage in regular field visits.
Major Responsibilities
Support Sat4Business Coordinator to coordinate and manage the activities of programme components.
Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of data collection and database management related to the programme.
Contribute to the development of programme communication materials and training content.
Develop training plans and reports and evaluate training under the programme.
Follow up the programme monitoring system, update, document and report on programme progress and results.
Support planning and implementing registration and profiling of targeted project clients and beneficiaries.
Liaise directly with Sat4Business consortium partners to set up meetings, workshops and field visits.
Support engagement with project implementation partners and other stakeholders to ensure adequate documentation of partnership agreements.
Organize and maintains a system for archiving and retrieving programme documents, reports, photos, videos and other knowledge products.
Catalogues programme related issues discussed at relevant forums and in the media (press clippings).
Prepare work plans and supports the writing of technical and financial reports based on Solidaridad’s specific planning, implementation and reporting procedures.
Required Skills or Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training
Education
A university degree in any of the following fields of expertise; Database Management, ICT, Statistics, Business Administration, Project Management or other related fields;
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience in a reputable organization.
Demonstrated experience in working with statistics and data management.
Demonstrated experience in working with digital tools and managing client information.
Knowledge in the commodity chains within Ghana and West Africa is an added advantage.
