We are seeking to hire an experienced Office Manager to join our team.
Office Manager Job Description
The Office Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. The Office Manager is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, stationery and office supplies control, office staff supervision and task delegation.
Energetic professional who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and support related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothly
Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
Point person for maintenance, office supplies, equipment, bills and errands
Partner with head of finance and administration to develop, implement and maintain office policies and procedures as necessary
Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systems
Assist with office layout planning and office moves, and with managing and office infrastructure
Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlord
Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors and service providers
Allocate tasks and assignments to subordinates and monitor their performance
Manage office budget
Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events
Evaluate and manage subordinates’ performance
Maintain a safe and secure working environment
Provide other administrative support as necessary
Required Skills or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field
2-5 years of work experience in an administrative/office management role
Must have exceptional attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
Must be a self-starter and driven
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience in managing fixed assets register will be an added advantage
